Blackberry Maker Lashes Out At Patent Holder In Federal Circuit Motion

Law360, New York (June 15, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- NTP Inc. is using “hollow, self-serving rhetoric” to misconstrue a $450-million settlement in an effort to extract even more money out of Research in Motion, the maker of the popular Blackberry devices said in filings this week with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

“NTP's actions here are nothing less than a strategy to extract more money and concessions from RIM than it agreed to on March 13,” RIM said, according to court documents.
