Hedge Fund May Appeal KPMG Dismissal

Law360, New York (September 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Though accounting firm KPMG LLC had been dismissed from the litigation filed by hedge fund Rocker Partners over the scandal at Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products, the firm may soon find itself once again embroiled in the case, after a district court ruled that Rocker may appeal the dismissal.

In an opinion handed down on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Judge Peter Sheridan ruled that plaintiffs had met the three criteria necessary for an interlocutory appeal.
