Whirlpool, Samsung Take Fridge Duties Fight To Court

Law360, New York (July 13, 2012, 3:17 PM EDT) -- Whirlpool Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. lodged separate suits Thursday challenging aspects of findings by the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding allegations that combination refrigerator-freezers from Mexico and Korea were dumped on the U.S. market.

In a complaint filed in the U.S. Court of International Trade, Whirlpool contested the ITC’s ruling that found the U.S. industry for bottom mounted refrigerator-freezers was not injured by imports from South Korea and Mexico by companies including LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics Co....
