Partial Recount Ordered For Calif. Tobacco Tax Measure

Law360, San Diego (July 13, 2012, 6:37 PM EDT) -- Although supporters of a California ballot initiative to raise the tax on cigarettes by $1 a pack to fund cancer research conceded defeat in June, the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder on Friday ordered a partial recount of the close statewide vote.
