Congress Mulls Overtime For Home Workers

Law360 (September 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Following a U.S. Supreme Court decision earlier this year, bills that would extend overtime and minimum wage protections to home health care workers have been introduced in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

Called the Fair Home Health Care Act (H. 3582 and S. 2061) in both the House and Senate, the bills were filed on Sept. 18 and 19 in response to the June decision of the High Court in Long Island Care at Home Ltd. v. Coke.
