Salvaged USDA Produce Program Still Must Answer Critics

Law360, New York (July 17, 2012, 10:04 PM EDT) -- In a turnaround Monday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture decided to retain a produce safety program through the end of 2012, but underlying disagreements over which agency should house the program and criticism from industry that it leads to unnecessary recalls may doom the program in the long term, experts say.
