10th Circ. Grants BP New Trial In $13M Gas Royalties Feud

Law360, New York (July 18, 2012, 6:22 PM EDT) -- The Tenth Circuit on Wednesday granted a BP PLC unit a new trial in a $13 million breach of contract class action accusing the company of shortchanging New Mexico landowners on natural gas royalty payments, saying a magistrate judge had wrongly allowed the plaintiffs to submit evidence on certain royalty rates.
