O'Melveny Reps Coller In Close Of $5.5B Fund For Secondaries

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 12:50 PM EDT) -- Coller Capital Inc. has closed its $5.5 billion fund ahead of schedule and over its goal, it said Thursday, the latest sign of a scorching secondaries market as banks in New York and Europe unload private equity assets to derisk their balance sheets.

The announcement comes as banks looking to raise capital continue to put private equity assets up for sale. On Wednesday, Credit Suisse AG said it would sell its private equity fund-of-funds and secondary fund business.
