More Cos. Booted From Online-Sales Patent Suit

Law360 (September 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Orion IP LLC has continued dropping defendants from its patent suit alleging infringement of online sales methods by numerous high-profile companies, most recently asking the court to approve the dismissal of its claims against engine manufacturer Briggs & Stratton Corp.

In a motion filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Orion asked for approval to dismiss Briggs & Stratton from the case with prejudice, following a patent license and settlement agreement between the two parties.
