NRC Blames Design Flaws For Calif. Nuclear Plant Leak

Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 7:36 PM EDT) -- Clearing Southern California Edison Co. of any wrongdoing, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on Thursday said a January leak of low levels of radioactive steam at the utility’s San Onofre nuclear power plant was caused by design and manufacturing flaws in the plant’s steam generators.
