NJ's 1st Offshore Wind Farm Gets Green Light

Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Offshore wind developer Fishermen's Energy of New Jersey LLC announced Thursday it has gotten final federal approval to build six wind turbines off the coast of Atlantic City, N.J., in what will be the state's first offshore wind farm.

The $200 million project, which recently received a Clean Water Act permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, calls for the construction of a demonstration-scale wind farm 2.8 miles from the Atlantic City boardwalk.
