China To Probe US, South Korean Solar Material Imports

Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 1:53 PM EDT) -- China's Ministry of Commerce said Friday it would launch a probe to evaluate whether U.S. and South Korean companies are dumping solar-grade polysilicon into the Chinese market.

The commerce ministry, known as MOFCOM, said in a statement that its investigation would aim to determine if dumping existed in the solar-grade polysilicon industry and whether imports from U.S. and South Korean producers of the product were harming Chinese companies.
