Patent Case Heats Up As Sun Files Counterclaims

Law360 (October 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Computer component maker Sun Microsystems Inc. has filed a declaratory judgment counterclaim against Abstrax Inc., which sued it for allegedly infringing a patent on a method for assembling products with a computer.

In court documents filed Friday with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sun asked the court for a ruling that it did not infringe the patent, that the patent was invalid and that the patent was unenforceable.
