Microsoft Urges Judge To Curb Visto's Jury Talk

Law360, New York (October 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Fearing that the jury will be unfairly swayed, Microsoft Corp. has asked the judge to toss out Visto Corp.'s request that it be allowed to discuss the so-called presumption of validity with the jury in the ongoing case over e-mail patents.

On Friday, Microsoft filed a motion in limine in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, arguing that its opponent will prejudice the jury by being allowed to discuss the validity issue.
