Parlux Says Investor, Attys Should Pay For 'Bad-Faith' Suit

Law360, Wilmington (July 25, 2012, 11:43 PM EDT) -- Parlux Fragrances Inc. asked a Delaware state judge Wednesday to sanction the shareholder and attorneys who challenged the company's $118 million merger with Perfumania Inc., claiming they should pay the defense's fees because the litigation had been conducted in bad faith.

Appearing in Delaware Chancery Court in Georgetown, Del., Parlux attorney Alvin B. Davis said the securities suit had been born in haste and conceived not by an informed shareholder seeking redress, but by lawyers seeking a fee award.
