Bain Escapes Labor Suit Over Shuttering Samsonite Plant

Law360, New York (July 25, 2012, 6:01 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Tuesday tossed a putative class action accusing Bain Capital LLC of arranging the sale of a French Samsonite factory in order to avoid properly compensating its employees following a 2004 investor buyout of the company, finding that the claims are time-barred and fail to allege wrongdoing.
