Atty Says KBR Owes Fees For $1B In Mexican Tax Savings

Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 8:28 PM EDT) -- A Mexican tax attorney sued KBR Inc. on Wednesday, claiming the Houston-based engineering and construction company failed to pay him for his legal services that he says helped save it $1 billion in tax liability to the Mexican government.

In a complaint filed in Texas court, Mexico City-based corporate tax attorney Raul Aguilar Gomez says KBR and its Mexican subsidiary Commisa failed to pay him and claimed they didn’t have a formal agreement.
