Fed. Circ. Finds Lazy Lawyering No Defense Against Sanctions

Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 6:43 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Thursday found that an attorney who failed to take basic steps to fulfill discovery obligations could not escape sanctions for failing to provide discovery information in an Internet telephone patent dispute between Rates Technology Inc. and Mediatrix Telecom Inc.
