Macrovision Reveals Settlement Deal With Motorola

Law360, New York (October 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Macrovision Corp. announced on Tuesday that it has settled its lawsuit against Motorola Inc. over the use of analog content protection technology.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday, Macrovision said it had reached a settlement agreement with Motorola over that dispute, and has also put to rest a related lawsuit filed by a Motorola subsidiary General Instrument Corp against Macrovision.

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based software company first filed its lawsuit against Motoroloa in July of 2007. Macrovision on Tuesday refused...
