Shoe Co. Sues Nike, Apple For Patent Infringement

Law360, New York (October 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two brothers in Utah have filed suit against Apple Inc. and Nike Inc. for allegedly infringing on patents regarding footwear that keeps track of exercise statistics with the companies' joint product, Nike + iPod Sport Kit.

Greg and Kenny Anderson filed the suit on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah. They allege that their company, Leaper Footwear LLC, owns a patent regarding “performance measuring footwear.”
