Whirlpool, Maytag Settle Calif. Benzene Warning Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (July 27, 2012, 9:04 PM EDT) -- A California judge on Friday approved a settlement by Whirlpool Corp. and Maytag Corp. on claims they failed to provide proper warnings about benzene emissions on their propane gas clothes dryers, saying the deal to change their warning labels is in the public interest.
