Private Co. Must Yield Public Record To Citizen: NM Court

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 5:28 PM EDT) -- A New Mexico state appeals court ruled Thursday in favor of a Truth or Consequences, N.M., resident who sued after being denied access to a recording of a city commission meeting that was being held by a private contractor, finding that citizens have the right to access such records.
