Enron Says Citigroup Is Silencing Workers

Law360 (October 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawyer for the Enron Creditors Recovery Corp. has accused Citigroup Inc. of keeping its former employees from testifying.

In a letter Monday to Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, a lawyer for what was formerly Enron Corp. said an informal conference should be called and a protective order granted.

At the center of the recent dispute is Citigroup's inclusion of a severance-agreement clause barring former employees from “disparaging” the bank, the letter said.
