GSA Names Temporary Acquisition Service Commissioner

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 4:26 PM EDT) -- Mary Davie, the Federal Acquisition Service assistant commissioner for the Office of Integrated Technology Services, will temporarily take over as head of the FAS while the current commissioner is on leave, the U.S. General Services Administration announced Monday.

Davie's new role will involve managing and leading the strategic direction and delivery of over $55 billion worth of products, while promoting FAS' commitment to efficiency, driving steeper bargains and creating greater opportunities to save the government money, GSA said.
