French Watchdog Asks Google For Street View Data

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 7:06 PM EDT) -- A French data protection agency wants to inspect the data involved in Google Inc.'s admission that the company didn’t delete all the personal information it collected when building its Street View feature, the agency said Tuesday.

The statement from the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertes, or CNIL, follows a similar action taken by British authorities last week, when Google sent a letter to various European governments about the privacy breach.
