'Rudy' Writer Botched Screenplay About Boxer, Suit Says

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 8:41 PM EDT) -- Paz Productions LLC suffered more than $1.5 million in damages after a writer failed to live up to an agreement calling for a screenplay about former champion boxer Vinny Pazienza, according to a suit removed to Rhode Island federal court Monday.

Angelo Pizzo, who wrote and co-produced the films “Hoosiers” and “Rudy,” and fellow defendant Q&A Productions Inc. yanked the lawsuit out of Providence Superior Court about a month after it was filed by Paz.
