Invitrogen Looks To Limit Damages From Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Life sciences company Invitrogen Corp. on Tuesday filed a motion that seeks to limit the potential damages in a lawsuit that accuses it of infringing a patent related to the introduction of DNA into the nucleus of living cells.

In a motion for partial summary judgment, Invitrogen alleged that Genetic Applications LLC should be barred from recovering any damages incurred between July 1999 and August 2004.
