O2 Micro Settles With Hon Hai Over Chip Patents

Law360 (October 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- O2 Micro International Ltd. and Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd. reached a confidential settlement of their dispute over three electical-converter chip patents, O2 announced Thursday.

O2 Micro has until Friday to file formal stipulations of dismissal in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, according to Eric Hugh Findlay, of Ramey & Flock, which represented O2 Micro.

Neither Findlay nor Thomas J. Friel, Jr., of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, which represented the defendants, would comment on the terms of the settlement, which...
