Farm Group Can Join Enviro Suit Over Calif. Highway Project

Law360, New York (August 7, 2012, 3:41 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday allowed the California Farm Bureau Federation to join an environmental suit against the government's Willits Bypass Project, saying the group showed good cause to intervene based on its concerns the project will significantly impact 2,000 acres of farmland.

In a two-page order granting the motion, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White said no party opposed the motion and the CFBF showed “good cause appearing to the satisfaction of the court,” opening the door for the group to file a complaint...
