NJ BPU Issues Changes To Renewable Energy Regs

Law360, New York (August 7, 2012, 7:34 PM EDT) -- Proposed changes to New Jersey's renewable energy regulations, including an expansion of net metering, should encourage investment in renewable energy facilities close to the source of energy consumption, the state's utilities regulator said in a notice Monday.

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities formally published the amendments in Monday's edition of the state Register. Among changes to renewable portfolio standards and interconnection rules, the amendments would also expand net metering to generation facilities located on contiguous properties.
