Becton Dickinson, Plaintiffs Pull Out Of Syringe MDL

Law360, New York (October 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After four days of mediation, Becton, Dickinson and Co. on Thursday settled a multidistrict litigation over a batch of syringes allegedly contaminated with bacteria that caused patients using them to lose their vision.

The case was settled through an alternative dispute resolution mediation, held from Sept. 24-27, according to court documents.

Judge John D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, in an order filed on Thursday, withdrew a previous order granting a hearing over a discovery dispute between Becton Dickinson...
