Judge Orders FDA To Launch Livestock Antibiotic Withdrawal

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 3:20 PM EDT) -- A New York federal magistrate judge on Wednesday told the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that it must begin proceedings to withdraw approval of certain antibiotics used in livestock feed that could cause human harm, but said the agency can follow its own proposed timeline for the action.
