Low-Cost Korean Transformers Hurt US Industry, ITC Says

Law360, New York (August 9, 2012, 4:39 PM EDT) -- Cheap Korean exports of large power transformers into the U.S. are harming domestic producers of the electrical system components and will consequently be assessed anti-dumping duties, the U.S. International Trade Commission announced Thursday.

The ITC issued a final determination reaffirming its preliminary findings that the U.S. transformer industry is being harmed by the importation of the Korean merchandise, one month after the U.S. Department of Commerce determined that these foreign sales are at sub-market rates.
