Ex-Carlyle Consultant Gets Probation For Insider Trading

Law360, New York (August 10, 2012, 5:51 PM EDT) -- Former A.T. Kearney Inc. partner Sherif Mityas was sentenced to three years probation for trading on inside information of a vitamin maker acquisition while consulting for private equity giant The Carlyle Group LP, a New York federal court spokesman said Friday.

Mityas, who pled guilty in March to one count of securities fraud for insider trading, did not receive jail time and was not fined by U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Joan M. Azrack, Eastern District of New York spokesman Robert Nardoza said. In addition to...
