Stryker Opposes Stay Of Patent Case

Law360 (October 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Medical device maker Stryker Corp. has filed a scathing attack against competitor Synthes Corp. for trying to stay a lawsuit involving patents for a clamp used in trauma surgery.

Last month, Synthes asked a judge to put the litigation on hold until the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office could re-examine one of the patents in question. But Stryker struck back on Friday, saying Synthes wanted to stall the case simply because it was losing.
