Agrium Vows To Fight Hedge Fund Jana's Spinoff Push

Law360, New York (August 14, 2012, 2:13 PM EDT) -- Canadian fertilizer company Agrium Inc. vowed Tuesday to fend off any spinoff demands made by its newest major shareholder, activist investor Jana Partners LLC, saying in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it would keep its retail division intact.
