Adelphia Asks To Appeal Ruling On Lucent Claim

Law360 (October 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dissatisfied with a bankruptcy court decision that denied a motion to dismiss claims filed by Lucent Technologies, Adelphia Communications has moved for leave to appeal the ruling.

In a motion filed on Oct. 8 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Adelphia asked for permission to appeal a decision by Judge Cecilia G. Morris that denied a bid by the communications company to disallow a general unsecured claim made by Lucent.
