Court Blocks Sale Of Blood Clot Reducer 'Knockoff'

Law360, Houston (August 14, 2012, 8:54 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Monday granted a preliminary injunction in favor of a Houston-area nutritional supplement inventor who claims that the idea for Provasca, which is designed to reduce arterial blood clots, was stolen by a former business partner.

In granting the injunction, U.S. District Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt found that Daniels Health Sciences LLC has a substantial likelihood of success in prevailing on its misappropriation claims against Vascular Health Sciences LLC, which has been allegedly developing a “knock off” of Daniels’ product.
