Peregrine CEO Pleads Not Guilty In Fraud Case

Law360, New York (August 17, 2012, 8:54 PM EDT) -- Peregrine Financial Group Inc. CEO Russell Wasendorf Sr. pled not guilty Friday to a slate of federal charges accusing him of fraudulently inflating the value of customer funds held by his now-bankrupt brokerage to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.

Appearing with his public defender in federal court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Wasendorf pled not guilty to all 31 counts on the indictment, according to court documents, waiving a formal reading.
