Ex-Bridgestone Scientist Charged With Trade Secrets Theft

Law360, New York (August 14, 2012, 6:32 PM EDT) -- A federal grand jury in Ohio returned a 15-count indictment Tuesday against a former Bridgestone Americas Inc. worker, alleging he stole confidential trade secrets and lied to investigators after losing his job with the tire maker's research center.

Xiaorong Wang, 50, of Hudson, Ohio, is charged with eight counts of trade secrets theft and seven counts of making false statements to federal agents, according to U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Steven M. Dettelbach.
