Hospital Can't Depose Government Officials In FCA Suit

Law360, New York (August 15, 2012, 2:52 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge ruled Tuesday that a hospital system accused of paying kickbacks and admitting Medicare patients for needless overnight stays can't depose government witnesses about the legal justification for the False Claims Act suit, saying the inquiries would intrude on privileged work product.
