Ga. Payment Processor Makes $413M Buy Of Utah Co.

Law360, New York (August 15, 2012, 4:56 PM EDT) -- Georgia electronic payment processor Global Payments Inc. has reached an agreement to buy a Utah-based merchant payment service provider from Boston private equity firm Great Hill Partners for $413 million, Global Payments said Wednesday.

Global Payments will acquire Pleasant Grove, Utah-based Accelerated Payment Technologies Inc. from Great Hill in an all-cash transaction. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of Global Payments' 2013 fiscal year, which would be sometime between September and November.
