CEQA Exemptions Unlikely To Pass Amid Enviros' Outcries

Law360, San Diego (August 15, 2012, 11:09 PM EDT) -- A draft proposal being reviewed by California lawmakers to exempt projects that are consistent with local planning and zoning rules from the state's environmental law would cut down suits against developers' construction plans, but environmental groups and unions are already opposing the measure, indicating its chances of passing may be slim, attorneys said Wednesday.
