Ruby Tuesday Tries To Say Goodbye To EEOC Suit

Law360, New York (August 17, 2012, 3:59 PM EDT) -- Ruby Tuesday Inc. asked a Pennsylvania federal judge Thursday to dismiss the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's claims that the restaurant wouldn't hire older applicants, calling the agency's lawsuit “spare and conclusory.”

The chain said the EEOC hadn't presented any factual evidence to support its allegations that six of the company's restaurants had violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act by discriminating against job applicants older than 40.
