Retired Police Captains Launch Bias Suit Against Newark, NJ

Law360, New York (August 20, 2012, 6:19 PM EDT) -- Four retired Newark, N.J., police captains on Wednesday accused the city of discrimination for allegedly forcing them out the door to speed the promotion of minority and female officers.

In a complaint in Essex County Superior Court, plaintiffs Glenn Camuso, Richard Cuccolo, Henry Gajda Jr. and James Post, all of whom are white, also claim the city owes them unpaid separation benefits totaling more than $950,000.
