Reynolds Asks 2nd Circ. To Quash $24M Tobacco Verdict

Law360, New York (August 21, 2012, 7:01 PM EDT) -- R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. on Monday asked the Second Circuit to reverse a $24 million judgment awarded to a woman who developed throat cancer after years of smoking Salem cigarettes, saying the district court had blocked Reynolds from presenting potential alternative causes of her illness.
