Schwab, Others Accused Of Infringing Online Security Patents

Law360, New York (August 21, 2012, 8:14 PM EDT) -- A patent-holding company accused Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., Scottrade Inc. and OptionsHouse LLC in Georgia federal court Friday of infringing a group of security patents used to safeguard information associated with their customers' online trading accounts.

Joao Bock Transaction Systems LLC says in separate complaints against Schwab, Scottrade and OptionsHouse that the three brokerages are each infringing three separate inventions that cover systems for protecting users who engage in online trading.
