Angie's List Cheats Subscribers On Renewals, Suit Says

Law360, New York (August 22, 2012, 3:04 PM EDT) -- Consumer review website Angie’s List Inc. has been hit with a proposed class action in Indiana federal court alleging that the company has repeatedly violated its membership agreement by signing up members at one rate and then increasing the rate when the subscription automatically renews.

Plaintiff Marie Fritzinger says in her Aug. 14 complaint that Angie’s List deceives and defrauds its members by not obtaining their consent before charging them increased rates.
