Enviros Urge NJ Gov. To Sign Fracking Wastewater Bill

Law360, New York (August 22, 2012, 4:37 PM EDT) -- Advocacy groups on Wednesday urged New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to sign legislation that would ban the treatment, disposal or storage of hydraulic fracturing waste in the state.

The bill received final approval from the Legislature on June 25, but the governor has yet to act on the measure, which supporters say would help protect the state's water supply and public health generally from byproducts of the controversial gas extraction method.
