Triune's Catholic Owners Challenge 'Evil' Contraception Rule

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 3:53 PM EDT) -- The Catholic owners of Oak Brook, Ill.-based Triune Health Group Inc. sued the U.S. departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury and Labor in Illinois federal court Wednesday, saying the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's contraception mandate violates their religious freedom and is unconstitutional.

According to Triune owners Christopher and Mary Anne Yep, the preventative care provision of the ACA, which requires employers to include free contraceptive care in their health care plans, violates their First Amendment rights and their right to “free and robust exercise”...
